I'm glad I never swung with anyone over 45 now! More seriously though, my experience of swinging has been far safer than that of those who have one night stands after drunken nights out. I personally have never had an encounter without a condom and as this is mostly done sober and with the lights on, it is a very safe environment. There may be some older timers out there, that don't bother with attention to detail, but I have never encountered them.
Having said that, I am in exactly the same control while I am working. I call the shots and I say that condoms are a must for penetration and get regularly checked out. So far I have never had an STI and that is the way I expect it to stay!
